Top Reasons to Give Barack Obama Your Vote and Support

At the inception of this undertaking, it was not anticipated that drawing attention to the many strengths of Barack Obama's candidacy for the presidency would be a substantial focus. However, the difficulty of our times calls for progressive Americans to assess the contenders for the Democratic Party nomination dispassionately and to offer whatever support we are able to give so that preparations for November can begin with the necessary urgency. Below is a compilation of some of the many reasons to consider supporting Senator Obama's candidacy for the nomination and for the presidency.

Please feel free to share this collection with undecided friends in states which have not yet voted on the nomination by making use of the E-mail this post feature below.

No way, a religious liberal who has no international experience? A blindly ambitious, power hungry man who claims that being a community organizer qualifies him to be president of the United States? Another Ivy League snob to run for President, elected by the special interests of the Democratic party--he can't win.

The idea that Obama shouldn't have to answer for all this is ridiculous. If this had been addressed long ago like it shoul dhave been, then Obama wouldn't be facing this now. What more is out there? What else got scrubbed? He is scary.

His Ayers answer...my god. I don't care if he bombed buildings, government or otherwise, 20 years before I was born. If I am wanting to be President (and by the way, If I'm not wanting to be President either) I avoid him, his neighbor, his kindergarten teacher and his dog's puppies like they were the plaque. NOT because I'm running for President but because what he did is heinous and against the land I love.

I don't care if he wasn't punished legally, it doesn't make him not guilty, especially when he admits it, boasts about it and says they didn't do enough and he regrets that.

Just think...Ayers is only ONE issue that Obama needs to answer for.

I guess I expect more from readers of the Wall Street Journal. It would be different if Obama was in collusion with this Ayers guy. The man is a college professor!!!! There are many people from the 60's that did things that were terrible wrong but have gone on to become teachers, politicans, etc. Angela Davis for one.

From what I have read the comments that were attributed to Ayers "we didn't do enough" were not said after the 9/11 but before and he was referring not to bombing but to making changes.

How much more of this nonsense will we as a nation put up with. In the words of a great man who in his own time was consider a radical, unpatriotic, and scary (as some people view Barack Obama)"he who is without sin cast the first stone".

As far as the debate on ABC last night, no wonder the cable news is taking over. The whole thing was shameful. I have seen better debates when I was in high school. Charlie and George should be ashamed.

Anonnymous (above), Yes, it's much better to have a fucking moron as president than an Ivy League snob.

How's that Bush thing working out for ya?

Oh wait, Bush is an Ivy League moron.

Dumbass.

I see the comments about Ayers and smile when i remember that President Clinton gave pardons to two Weathermen that were actually in jail, doing time.

How selective peoples memories have become quite entertaining really.

I like that the illiterate uses the right language to identify themselves. How limited!!! Look people, Hillary was a Republican before her husband began running for the Presidency. Many of you all need to go and watch the videos on you tube about the Clintons life and legacy in Arkansas. It is shameful that Bill Clinton was an avid coke snorted along with his brother. You all need to GOOGLE (Clintons and Drugs) everything will com up for your viewing and reading {that is if you could read} if not watch the tapes of the court proceedings. Check the trail of DEATH left behind in Arkansas begining with the two white boys who saw the drug drop and never lived to tell. Read on how they robbed Peter Paul who is suing the Clintons at this very moment. Americans are utterly ignorant and do lack the core of what they really want for their children and grand children. Look, as far as I could tell the Clintons are Worn, over and finished with the time of their reign. CHANGE is NECESSARY NOW!!! The Clintons are game as usual. Obama=32 WON states; Hillary=16 won states.
Listes to this anology, When a basketball ball game is being played The STAR player scores so high and put the team up by 50 points, what do they do with the star player? They put him to rest on the bench and regain energy for the fourth quarter to bring it home with a bang. Obama is positioned to challenged his opponent Mcshame.

I am a young woman of a White American father and an Canadian Black mother. I was born in Montreal and at the age of 18 I came to the USA with my parents to attend college which I have completed my BA and is in the process of begining my Masters in Physics. Having stated that, I want you to know I do make informed statements and decisions. I prefer eqilibrium which demonstrates values in consideration., like morals, respect for self, honor, unselfish dignity, at all levels in life and what I see is Senator Obama who demonstrates core values of the people. He shines with pride of a nation. I listen and read all of Senator Obama's concerns, proposals and the people he has surrounded himself. I believe Change is Necessary and only Senator Obama can bring about change for all of America's citizens and be respected again in the world. He will raise values for all children.

Obama is a member of 4 Foreign Relations Committees, and he is the Chairman of one. He has worked with Republican Senator Richard Lugar on global non-proliferation efforts, and has lived and been exposed to a variety of foreign cultures. He also graduated with a degree in political science, with a strong emphasis on international relations. He is the best, and only, candidate that can restore this nation's credibility.

When we need a doctor, we'd like to get the best one available; When we become fans of an athlete, he/she is usuallya brilliant champion; When we need an electrician, plumber or contractor, we want THE BEST.

But, some say, we shouldn't elect a brilliant, highly educated person to high office because they are "elitist".

What a hunk of horses--t!!!!!

We already tried electing cretin low-brows like Bush and Reagan, and see where that got us?

No. I'll take the one with brains, class and integrity.

I'll take OBAMA.
