There are important developments in Texas.
Rasmussen Reports indicates troubling trends for Senator John Cornyn's bid to keep his seat in the United States Senate this November following his tenure as one of George W. Bush's staunchest allies in connection with the current costly and failed Iraq policy, the appointment of activist justices to the United States Supreme Court who have contributed to the deterioriating economic situation and, now, as an ideological soul-mate for John McCain.
After voting for and championing war in the wrong country, so far, all John Cornyn can offer in his own defense is talk of small government. Meanwhile, Usama bin Laden is still on the loose.

Paul Burka usefully highlights some of the weaknesses in Rick Noriega's current approach, many of which can be remedied with a little help from Rick Noriega's friends and supporters who are serious about good government in 2009 that reflects solid American values:
At the moment, the main importance of the poll is that Democratic strategists in
Washington know that Noriega is mathematically competitive–and they know it
early enough to be able to do something about it in terms of providing money and
expertise and candidate training for his campaign. There is a lot of room for
improvement.
It's time for Texas to change course. Support Rick Noriega by making a secure contribution to his campaign HERE.
Texas matters.
